Wolffia Arrhiza

A flowering, aquatic plant from the Araceae family, the Wolffia Arrhiza goes by common names of Spotless Watermeal and Rootless Duckweed. Commonly found in ponds and similarly quiet waters. As the smallest vascular plant on Earth, the plant is native to Europe, Africa, and some of Asia, though it is naturalized in other parts of the world in present day. Highly nutritious, the plant comprises of 40% protein by dry weight and 40% starch.
