Like regular spinach, the Water Spinach, or Kang Kong, can be steamed or boiled to one’s liking. Though eaten raw in parts of the world, such practice is not recommended as raw consumption may lead to Fasciolopsiasis, or growth of intestinal parasite .
A very nutritious vegetable, the water spinach is abundant in health benefits, and is commonly used as a purgative and an anthelmintic.
