Rose Myrtle

A shrub native to Eastern Australian rainforests. Its long, glossy leaves grow up to 8cm long and are pleasingly aromatic when crushed. Its flowers come in variations of mauve and pink. Its globular, flame-coloured berries contain numerous small seeds; its taste resembles the Brazilian cherry. Rose myrtle berries are sweet, fragrant, and often used in sauces.
