A crisp citrusy fruit indigenous to Southeast Asia. When ripe, the thick rinds of the Pomelo range from pale green to yellow in colour, encasing a sweet white flesh. In rare instances, the flesh is pink or red. It tastes like a sweet and milder version of the grapefruit, which is incidentally a cross between a Pomelo and an orange. Pomelo rinds are occasionally used in marmalades, or candied to dip in chocolate.
