A beautiful lavender flower commonly used as a houseplant. Extremely reliable and resilient, the Plumbago Auriculata is used by many gardeners as a background or filler plant under to other shrubs with stronger frameworks. The plant can be pruned as a formal hedge, or used in mixed informal hedges. Its rambling habit makes it highly suitable for use as a flowering groundwave.
Used traditionally to treat warts, broken bones and wounds, the plant is taken as a snuff for headaches and as an emetic to ward off nightmares. A stick of the plant is also placed in the thatch of huts to dispel lightning.
