Painted Lady

A wildflower of the Trillium genus, also known as “Trille Nodule” or “Painted Trillium”. The plant grows best in acidic, humus-rich soils and is typically found under the shades of eastern white pine, red maple and balsam fir. Despite low base saturation in the soils that support it, the species reportedly contains high levels of calcium, magnesium, and potassium in its leaves.
