Ocimum Citriodorum

A hybried of basil and African basil, lemon basil is identified by its distinct lemon scent, oval serrated leaves and white flowers growing on spikes. The stems grow up to 40cm tall and it flowers in late summer to early autumn. It is grown primarily in the Southern Asia and Northestern Africa, and thus popular in Thai, Italian, Persian, Indonesian and Laotian cuisines.
