Sago thrives in temperate and tropical regions. Sago seeds are extracted from the spongy part or pith of various parts of the palm parts which include it\’s stem, roots and seeds. The pith is then intensely grinned into a coarse flour, repeatedly rinsed to remove existing toxins then dried. One of the biggest suppliers is the East Indies.
