Ceylon spinach

A herbaceous perennial plant also known by its other names waterleaf, cariru, Surinam purslane, Philippine spinach, Florida spinach, potherb fameflower, Lagos bologi, and “sweetheart”. Grown extensively in tropical regions as a leaf vegetable for its vitamin A, C, iron and calcium content. It contains oxalic acid, so those suffering from kidney disorders, gout, and rheumatoid arthritis should avoid consumption.
