Camel Bush

A herb or shrub native to Australia, the Camel Bush grows erect up to two metres in height, developing an excellent taproot. Its flowers come in variations of blue and white, though the latter is rare. A flower infusion is thought to be diuretic, while a decoction from both its leaves and its roots is thought to be helpful in treating intestinal worms, coughs, chest complaints and throat pains. Its name comes from the suggestion that its stiff hairs resemble a camel’s.
