Breadfruit Leaf

Believed to lower blood cholesterol levels, breadfruit leaves are also used traditionally to treat liver diseases, inflammation, heart and kindney.

In the West Indies, the yellowing leaf is brewed and taken as a tea to relieve asthma and reduce high blood pressure, and quite possibly to control diabetes. Sap from the crushed stems of leaves is used as a treatment for ear infections and sore eyes.
